Volunteer Co-ordinator

Hours:  25 hours per week
Location: Haverhill
Closing date: Monday 28th July 2025 @ 9am
Salary: £16,822 per annum (FTE £25,224)
Interview date: Monday 11th August 2025
Interview location: Hollands Road, Haverhill
Annual Leave: 25 days pro rata plus Bank Holidays & working days Christmas to New Year


About the role:

The post holder will be working within the Community Engagement team, leading and supporting on the provision of an excellent volunteer experience.

The ideal candidate will be keen to work with volunteers and potential volunteers. The role includes interviewing potential volunteers, leading on volunteer induction and providing support and guidance to our group of over 80 volunteers.

The post holder will also be expected to communicate with our corporate partners to provide volunteering opportunities to corporate employees.

We are looking for somebody who will provide a consistent volunteer experience across the charity, which is enjoyable, rewarding and safe for our volunteers.

The post holder will be expected to work some evenings and weekends to support our Duke of Edinburgh and other youth groups volunteers and well as support at Community events held around the town.


About you:

We are looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and keen to support. You should be dynamic and engaging, with excellent communication skills and ideally experience of working with volunteers or/and working in a volunteer management role.

A proactive and independent thinker, you will be able to prioritise your workload while remaining flexible to adapt to what is needed.
