Running for REACH! 

For the first time in our 20 year history, REACH will have a runner for the prestigious London Marathon 2026; Sofia.
  
Sofia is a Haverhill resident and running in aid of a local charity is important to her:  

“I am now running the London Marathon for a great cause and feel very privileged to be able to do it for REACH.”

Running became a distraction therapy for her in 2018 whilst she and her husband experienced the highs and lows of IVF treatment. She also finds running beneficial for her mental wellbeing and enjoys being part of the local running community.  

Sofia’s name was drawn literally out of a donation bucket of four possible runners from the Haverhill Running Club who had nominated themselves to represent REACH in this endurance challenge.  

Whilst she has taken part in a marathon before, completing the London Marathon is one of her life’s ambitions! It’s therefore great to have this opportunity for Sofia to achieve this goal and at the same time be raising vital funds to keep running our important services.
