Volunteer & Events Co-ordinator

About the role:

The post holder will be working within the Community Engagement team, leading and supporting on the provision of an excellent volunteer experience.
 
The ideal candidate will be keen to work with volunteers and potential volunteers and attend events in the community promoting REACH.  The role includes attending events, interviewing potential volunteers, leading on volunteer induction and providing support and guidance to our group of over 80 volunteers.  

The post holder will also be expected to communicate with our corporate partners to provide volunteering opportunities to corporate employees.
We are looking for somebody who is happy to attend events to promote REACH as well as provide a consistent volunteer experience across the charity, which is enjoyable, rewarding and safe for our volunteers.

The post holder will be expected to work some evenings and weekends to support Community Events held around the town as well as supporting our Duke of Edinburgh and other youth groups volunteers.

About you:

We are looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and keen to support.  You should be dynamic and engaging, with excellent communication skills, happy to attend community events to promote REACH and ideally experience of working with volunteers or/and working in a volunteer management role.

A proactive and independent thinker, you will be able to prioritise your workload while remaining flexible to adapt to what is needed.
