About The Role
REACH has provided support to local people in crisis since 2005. As well as providing a debt counselling, financial inclusion and advice service, we also provide financial education in schools, to youth groups and other organisations. We are looking for an Educator to join our Community Engagement Team. This role is about teaching young people financial literacy as well as teaching adults about budget management. The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic about teaching young people and adults financial literacy as well as have strong people skills, an ability to build relationships and manage effective partnerships with external organisations.
This is a part time role working 30 hours a week, although some flexibility will be required dependent on service need. There may also be some occasional evening work and weekend work required, dependent on the needs of the young people and adults. Full training will be provided but strong IT skills are a prerequisite to the role.
As we work with children and young people, an offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory references and DBS clearance.
Please note that this is currently a fixed term contract for 1 year – extension of the contract will depend on future funding.
